Man do I miss episodes like the debate from s3 with the stuff that’s being happening recently. Baseball.
Me too, anon, me too.
I don’t like being negative all the time. I want to spend all my time cooing over the charm of fucked up Dan and Selina bonding and oh my god they got William Fichtner andJonah’s terrible, terrible glasses make such sense for the character, and being astonished at Tony Hale finding yet another way (after seven years!) of being creepily in love with Selina and knocked over by Matt Walsh delivering an innocuous line in such a way that I remember it ten days later and start laughing again.
I don’t want to be raining down the hellfire of my feminist rage on a show I really, really like. It’s not fun for me.
I mean, I started watching Veep as a way of escaping the unrelenting insanity of Brexit and what it was doing to UK politics – because, at the time, as dreadful as they all were, no one, not even Dan, was as vile as Boris Johnson or Michael Gove. Why did the show have to take that away from me?
