There’s probably a technical term for it, but see that angle where they film Amy from behind Dan’s shoulder?
It makes Dan look enormous in comparison to Amy – his torso takes up roughly a third of the shot – and also means he tends to crowd her out of the frame a bit.
The only other time I can think of where they’ve used that over the shoulder shot is in 6.10 when she tells him about the pregnancy. Generally they try to minimise the height difference – and especially so in the ‘Work’ scenes – but when they really want to underline Amy’a vulnerability, this is how they film it.
(I can’t tell – is that a mic cable underneath Dan’s jacket, or is it just a strange crease?)
